Everything a vacation should be!

If you are reading this review for the Bungalow Beach Place, consider yourself very lucky! You need look no further. This was my first time planning a trip to Florida and the options are endless and overwhelming. You first have to decide what kind of Florida vacation you want. Big and flashy or calm and beachy. Which beach? Where to stay? Fate somehow brought me to the Indian Shores stretch of beach and even more fortuitously to the Bungalow Beach Place! The new owners have done a magnificent job updating this quaint 8-unit beach bungalow with modern looking décor and fixtures. It has the style and luxuries you enjoy at your own house, so you’ll instantly feel at home. These bungalows are right on the beach (not beach adjacent or just a walk across the street) as many other places indicate. Every morning you’ll open your door to breathtaking ocean views and start your day with a stroll on the beach with messy bed hair and coffee in hand. Conversely, you’ll end your day watching the sun descend into the horizon with an adult beverage in hand (and hopefully your love in the other hand). The bungalow has a nice kitchen which we used every morning with the items we picked up on our way in from the airport. Since we were on vacation, the plan was to go out to eat all other meals because…SEAFOOD! I’m happy to say I ate seafood for every meal out. I had the best blackened swordfish at the Red Lion and the biggest lobster tail from Crabby Bill’s. Stay after dinner for the band and drinks just next door on Crabby Bills’ large patio. One evening we did grill steaks and veggie kabobs on the grills provided and dined outside at sunset on the nice big patio tables. The other guests were all very nice and also not around all the time so there was a decent amount of privacy. The beach isn’t crowded. Especially in front of our place. If you look down the beach at the tall condo high-rises, that stretch of beach was more densely populated, but not ours with only 8 bungalows! I’m not one to bake on the beach all day long, so one day we went mini golfing. They actually have two courses. We had so much fun that we went again that same day for night golfing at half price. Next time we will utilize the bicycles provided. This trip we just wanted to get everywhere quickly to maximize our time. One afternoon we hit up nearby Treasure Island and had lunch on the lively boardwalk while we watched dolphins swimming in the bay and the massive drawbridge opening and closing. Another day we drove to St. Pete to the Dali Museum which is a must see! Evenings/nights were spent at the bungalow bonfire playing bag toss (not a fan of the name cornhole…haha) and laying out on the beach loungers with wine and cheese. There are two TVs (cable provided) for late night viewing. I had the most restful sleep in the comfy bed. I even went out and bought the same pillows they have since they were perfect. I could go on and on. So many beautiful memories were made and most excitingly I got engaged on this beach! This is forever our place. I highly recommend you make your own wonderful memories here too.
