You no longer have to choose between “man’s best friend” and man’s favorite vacation spot. You can have it all at the St. Pete/Clearwater area, offering beachside dog parks. These parks allow your four-legged friends to enjoy the sand and the surf right along with you. Please Note TeemingVR’s Pet-Friendly Friendly Vacation Rental Policy: TeemingVR allows a maximum of 2 pets in our designated Pet-Friendly Properties. All pets must be declared when making your reservation.

• There is a non-refundable pet fee (this can vary based on the unit and number, breed and weight of dogs)  to cover additional wear and tear the pet residing in the unit does.
• Security Deposits or Security Deposit Waivers DO NOT cover any pet damage. Pet damage is the sole responsibility of the renting guest.
• Pet Policy differs by each individual vacation property. See individual listing for information. Condo associations also have limits on pets and pet’s weight. They can evict your pet if it does not meet their rules.
• Every pet must be disclosed to us BEFORE your arrival. VRPMS must approve the weight and breed of your dog. If you arrive with an unapproved pet, you will be charged a $500 pet fee.
• List of PROHIBITED dog breeds:  Akita, Australian Blue Heeler, Boxer, Chow, Dalmatian, Doberman, English Bulldog, Great Dane, Husky (any type), Malamute, Mastiff (any variation), Pit Bulls, Presa Canarios, Rottweiler, Saint Bernard, Wolf-dog Hybrid.
• TeemingVR reserves the right to decline any dog for any reason. If any dog is deemed to be a threat or nuisance, we reserve the right to evict the pet and/or the party at any time.
• No puppies (i.e. dogs under 6 months old) allowed.
• Dogs must be neutered or spayed.

Pet Friendly Beaches in St. Pete/Clearwater Area:

Belleair Bluffs: Belleair Beach Causeway “Dog Beach”
Belleair Bluffs is located between Clearwater Beach and Indian Rocks Beach. “Dog Beach” is located on the stretch of sand that lies to the south of the Belleair Beach Causeway Bridge at the east end, accessible under the high-level bridge from the boat ramp parking lot. Dogs are allowed off-leash on the beach.

Clearwater area/Dunedin: Honeymoon Island State Park “Pet Beach”
The Pet Beach is located on the southern tip of the Island. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed on this portion of the beach and on the nature trail.

St. Petersburg: Abercrombie Park
Abercrombie Park is located just west of Park Street between 38th Avenue and 39th Avenue North. A quarter-mile path leads to the small dog beach in this city park. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in the park and on the beach.

St. Petersburg: Gandy Beach
Gandy Beach is located along the south side of the Gandy Bridge between Tampa and Pinellas County. Dogs are allowed on the beach

St. Petersburg area: Fort De Soto Park, Paw Playground and Dog Beach

The only Pinellas County park where dogs are allowed on the beach is the dog park at Fort De Soto park. In addition to having side-by-side, fenced-in dog parks for small and big dogs, Fort De Soto Park has a strip of beach available for dog owners and their furry friends to run without a leash. Dog owners can lay out on the beautiful, white sandy beach and let their dogs socialize with dozens of other animals. If your dog is hot and thirsty, back in the fenced in dog park is a cooling off area with a hose and two water fountains, one for humans and one for dogs. Once inside Ft. Desoto Park, turn right towards the North Beach and the Paw Playground, as it is called, is by the fishing pier on the left. Fort De Soto Park – Paw Playground
