What is Open in St. Pete Clearwater?

The St. Pete/Clearwater area has a lot to offer in the way of sun, fun, and more! If you have booked one of our Clearwater Beach rentals, you’re never too far from something to do. Some of our guests just come to lounge on the beaches and some prefer to lounge from the comfort of one of our Madeira Beach rentals. Regardless, things are opening and happening in this Gulfside escape.

We cover the area’s top attractions and other places to go for food, sun, and fun.

Attractions

You don’t have to be an art enthusiast to enjoy visiting the Morean Arts Center. It is one of the highlights of all the St. Pete attractions. The center’s claim to fame is its current collection of art from world-renowned artist Dale Chihuly.  He creates large-scale sculptures that blend into the backdrop of the venue and its architecture. The art center also houses works of local St. Pete Clearwater artists, some of whom you may find just as interesting as the works of Chihuly.

Another favorite is the Dali Museum, which houses the largest collection of Salvador Dali’s works outside of Europe. Also, Van Gogh Alive, a multi-sensory exhibition featuring Vincent van Gogh’s art will be making its debut in the U.S. here November 21 through April 11. Step inside the Dutch artist’s famous paintings through the digital projection of 3,000 moving images illuminating his colorful brushstrokes in larger-than life scenes.

Don’t worry, if you’re traveling with children, there are tons of things to do with kids in St. Pete Clearwater. One of the main attractions in St. Pete is Great Explorations, a fun, and interactive children’s museum. Watch your child’s face light up as they step into a world of imagination. This is no ordinary museum. It is intended to help your child learn, while they play.

Another favorite is the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, which just added a new, state-of-the-art dolphin complex and five times the amount of guest space. Visitors can see rescued dolphins Winter, Hope and Hemingway in their brand new 1.5 million gallon habitat.
